Towards measuring temporal trends in exoplanet properties and occurrence

Exoplanet frequency is known to vary with stellar mass and metallicity, which likely reflects the sensitivity of protoplanetary disk physics to these fundamental stellar parameters. The extent to which the frequencies and properties of exoplanets vary with age, however, remains under-explored. Investigating such temporal trends within the known population of exoplanets is made difficult by the intrinsic uncertainties in the ages of individual stars. I will discuss how observations from space-based surveys (Kepler, K2, and TESS) of coeval stellar populations can help place constraints on the timescales of mechanisms thought to be relevant in the planet formation process, e.g. migration and atmospheric escape.
