Applications of a low order dynamo model to solar variability

I'll start to briefly present the concept of solar variability and the influence it may have in our daily life. Since most of the relevant solar phenomena for this thematic have a magnetic origin, the theoretical background for the evolution of solar magnetic fields is introduced. Afterwards I'll discuss how a simplified version of the theory, a low order dynamo toy model, can be used to infer information about what physical mechanisms could be behind the variability observed in solar activity.
